If only Chicago were closer to Glasgow
Moving those two closer would make meeting my future Scottish husband SO MUCH EASIER. Why so difficult, gents?
Pasta is a good skint nom.
Pasta in casa
Pasta! I have an unhealthy sort of love for egg noodles with garlic and olive oil; I can eat a huge heaping bowl for a meal and be satisified, and it’s generally pretty cheap.

Stuck in an elevator with David Cook
I could handle being stuck in an elevator with Mr. David Cook. He could sing along with whatever Muzak was playing. Or we could just make out. You know.. whatever.

One of those songs that makes some mornings a little easier to survive.
A Monster at the End of this Book. A classic.
This book was a big-time favorite when I was wee. My mom used to read it to me, and she’d really get into character, and I was usually in tears of laughter by the end. Good times.
Zombies Ahead! Use Caution!
Okay, so, I’ve actually given this some thought (shut up), and I’ve come to the conclusion that when the zombies come? I will die. It’s that simple. I’ll totally be one of the first victims, and then I’ll spend the entire zombie-times stumbling around trying to kill my friends and neighbors. I think it’s a solid plan.
'Good Omens' will make you LOL
This book is absurd and delightful (as much as a book about the Apocalypse can be) and very very English. I treasure it, and it certainly made me chortle uncomfortably loud.
I want to grow old in Scotland
I have a deep affection for the Scots, and I enjoy listening to a Scottish accent. Plus, the country itself is kind of desperately beautiful, and Edinburgh is a city with amazing history and culture.

A little creepy, a whole lot of hook.

Sure, it’s Saturday, but this is still the right song for today.

I… possibly had more fun with this than is sensible.
What I do?
That, uh… that answer would be a little bit dull, as I’m currently unemployed. I mostly surf classified ads and Monster (and watch tv) on a daily basis.
Enough.
Honestly, I cannot tell you just how NOT sorry I feel for the Twitter people who passive-aggressively complain about Layer Tennis not showing up on their iPhones. Put on your big girl pants and wait until you get home, you spoiled crybabies.

The lovely people at Layer Tennis invited me to be part of one of the qualifying matches this week. I won’t lie, it was stressful (and I could use a massage post haste), but omg what a BLAST! Be sure to check out the other qualifying match & the main event.

I’m not always a fan of live versions, but this one is infectious; the perfect song for such a spring-like day.
Not okay.
Words of which I am not a fan.
moist
Unless you’re talking about a particularly delicious cake, I find that word completely irksome (and a little gross). :P
squat
It’s such an unattractive word, both visually and aurally. It sounds harsh and awkward. *shudder*

I need some cheaper ticket prices! Fleetwood Mac, I love you, but $170 dollars is just too damn much in these harsh economic times.

Strong female vocals and an infectious clappable beat.

This song has a desparate, needy, raspy quality to it, and apparently I dig that.

I am incapable of resisting this song, even if it does mention eels.
